This biography for year 6 and P7, linking to the topic evolution and inheritance, explains how the famous scientist Charles Darwin discovered artificial selection. Darwin used pigeons to see for himself how different features could be ‘selected’ by deciding which birds got to breed and which didn’t. This report also explains the difference between artificial selection and natural selection.
