Historical scientist Carl Sagan

This biography text for year 5 and P6, linking to the topic Earth and Space, explains the work of Carl Sagan. He was an astronomer, planetary scientist, cosmologist, astrophysicist, professor and science communicator! Carl briefed the Apollo astronauts before their flights to the Moon and helped to plan missions to Venus, Mars, Jupiter and the outer solar system. He came up with the idea for Voyager 1 to take a photo of Earth from 3.7 billion miles away! The downloadable reading pack includes:
